This is a brand new Chinese Chess set with elegant, carved wooden chess pieces. The chess pieces measures 1.6" in diameter and 0.6" in thickness. A rigid color gift box for storage of chess pieces, giving it necessary protection against various delivery conditions. The 9 x 10 lines on the artificial leather chessboard and the four Chinese characters "楚河""漢界"which mark the "river" boundary are printed into the surface. The playing pieces are made of quality solid wooden: the General ("將") side is black, while the Marshal ("帥") side is in red. Each playing piece is finished in lacquer. This gives the chessman a shiny coating, and more importantly protects it from humidity and insects.
