Our Wayang Klitik Puppets come from the Court City of Yogyajarta in Java, home of Javanese arts and Culture. They are a special ancient design of flat puppet made from hand carved wood which is then batiked. They were used in Yogyakarta to retell the Hindu Epic the Ramayana to the Sultan and his court. Our Wayang Klitik puppets are handmade by a small family of puppet makers. They measure 32 cm high and are made from a sustainable locally grown softwood.
