The locomotive take two AA batteries and is switched on with a button on the side, this makes the train safe for children three years and older. There are 8 pieces in the box and 3.2 meters of track which allows one to creat a round track 1.2 meters in diameter or an ovan track 2.59 meters in diameter or a figure eight with a maximum span of 2.3 meters.
