The Bumps is a rowing contest with a difference: a bunch of Crews line up behind each other on the river. Each crew tries to catch the crew in front and Bump them while trying to avoid being Bumped by the crew behind. Bumping can be anything from a gentle touch to major destruction and is usually a bit of a surprise to the chasing crew as they are all of course facing backwards.
This is a Quikky dice rolling game with simple rules for 1 to 4 players very loosely based on the rules of the Bumps - we couldn't really fit a load of Crews on the board so we've limited it to 4 Crews per Division. Apart from that it has all the elements of luck, chaos and confusion you might expect in the real thing - over-bumps, double over-bumps and rowing over which will show up on the scoreboard as you go.
The Winner will be the crew that ends up at the head of the Division after 4 days racing.
This game is not suitable for small children [under 36 months] due to small playing pieces
Hi there, just wanted to clarify what our games are about
They are a simple mechanism for enthusiasts to imagine they are really out there competing in whichever sport
They are intended to be portable fun but some are more fun than others
We have chosen to transform every sport we can to offer them to their fans
Imagination is a big part of our games and a basic understanding of the sport is required for the more 'technical' sports
We do not attempt to describe every aspect of each sport as this would take reams of extra sheets [eg we don't mention 'googlies' or 'reverse swing' in our cricket games]
Players can readily add layers of detail over the top of the basic mechanism of dice and counters driving the game along
All the games are designed by us, both the gameplay and images
The images are printed and applied and the bits assembled individually for you on the day they are posted
