Our PVC mats are 500 GSM PVC, which is the same material which shop banners etc are made from (a much tougher heavier duty material than a PVC tablecloth for example). Unlike cheaper mats, this is a high quality material which carries a strong colour and image. We ensure sharp images with beautiful deep colours. The PVC material has a smooth face and textured rear for smooth gameplay. Our mats will lay beautifully flat as they are a heavier material than cheaper alternatives, simply ensure you store rolled not folded and always roll image side out and you will never have any issues with corners turning up! Please note - we have tested this mat with Non permanent wet markers and chalk pens. It will wipe clean with a wet wipe or damp cloth. We have found in our tests that dry white board markers are much harder to get off (nail polish remover will do it but it is very strong and risks taking the image off as well) so we recommend you do not use these pens and only use non permanent wet markers or chalk pens. Again in our tests we did leave the mats overnight with no real issues, however we recommend removing the pen while still wet for best, quickest results.
