MADE TO BRITISH STANDARD EN747 THE BRITISH AND EUROPEAN STANDARD FOR HIGH SLEEPERS The main cabin bed carcase is made from quality Melamine coated board, it is not just paper covered board. This exciting stylish children's high sleeper bed, which includes a bed base with 'breathing' holes, takes a full 3 ft mattress and comes flat-packed for easy home assembly! It is made to British and European Standards by ourselves in the UK and supplied to major European retailers. The high sleeper bed has a double door wardrobe with hanging rail (95cm long) and shelves, a desk with three drawers and room for a PC tower. Behind the large corner desk of the high sleeper are shelves, so making this a complete teenager/ children's bedroom in one high sleeper cabin bed (note the desk corner may be angular or rounded). Loft bed style high sleeper cabin beds need to be made to a different standard than normal low beds for obvious safety reasons, the design tests include stability and ladder safety as part of the criteria. This Bed is made of melamine faced wipe-clean, scratch resistant board, it is the same type of material that is used to make expensive kitchen carcases. The cabin bed is very robust when assembled. Mattress, Bedding and textiles ARE NOT included in the price. For safety reasons the maximum thickness of mattress for this bed is 15cm. THIS CABIN BED HAS THE LADDER ON THE RIGHT HAND SIDE, AND IS NOT REVERSIBLE. Bed measures approximately 203cm long x 94cm wide (up to 144cm where the ladder fits) x 173cm high. The ladder is 36cm wide internally. Delivery of this cabin bed is ONLY possible by a driver to mainland England, Wales and south of (and including) Glasgow/Edinburgh regions of Scotland, but delivery may take 5-15 working days depending on geographical area (Scotland may take a little longer).
