This display set contains two different 50p coins that were issued dated 1998. The first was issued to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the United Kingdom's entry into the European Economic Community, 1973 to 1998, the second to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the founding of the National Health Service, 1948 to 1998. The obverse of each coin shows the mature portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, KM reference numbers 992 and 996, the coins are 27.3mm in diameter and in uncirculated condition. Our manufacturing process is a precision laser cutting method to create holes in which the coins can be inserted: thus holding securely in position without harming them.
